Brave Leo

Brave's built-in browser assistant, Leo, has a Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) feature that connects to any OpenAI-compatible /chat/completions endpoint.

Installation

Leo ships inside the Brave browser itself — there's nothing separate to install. If you don't have Brave yet, download it from brave.com/download (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS) and Leo will already be there. If Leo or the BYOM option is missing from Settings, update Brave to the latest version first (brave://settings/help).

Setup

1. Open brave://settings/leo-ai.
2. Under Bring your own model, click Add new model.
3. Label: anything you'll recognize, e.g. "Draven AI".
4. Model request name: your-model-id.
5. Server endpoint: https://api.dravenai.lat/v1/chat/completions.
6. API Key: your sk-drv-... key.
7. Click Add Model, then select it from Leo's model picker.
